Overview of Sarnia Ultimate Club Organization
- Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of Officers and Coordinators. Each role is entitled to one vote when
decisions regarding club organization must be made.
Officers (elected by all league members):
- President
- Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
Coordinators (appointed by Officers):
- Summer League Coordinator
- Women’s League Coordinator
- Fall League Coordinator
- Travel Team Coordinator
- Marketing
- Social Coordinator
- Junior Ultimate Coordinator
- Webmaster
- Others (as deemed applicable)

- Summer, Fall and Junior League Organization:
Each Team will be represented by a captain (or designate) at Captain's meetings
League decisions will be made at Captain's Meetings.
Each team captain will have one vote when making decisions at these meetings.
- Responsibilities of Officer Positions:
President
- Oversees and enforces all club policies
- Runs captains meetings
- ganizes and coordinates club committees as needed
- Coordinates club expansion
Note: President cannot be a team captain
Vice-President
- Assists the President in his/her duties
- Represents the President in his/her absence
Note: Vice-President cannot be a team captain
Treasurer:
- Controls cash receipts and disbursements
- Prepares financial statements
- Coordinates the raising of funds
Secretary
- Records and maintains the minutes of Captains Meetings and Board of Directors meetings
- Maintains a permanent record of Club policies
- Coordinates the election process
The Election:
Anyone interested in nominating themselves or someone else (for President, Vice-President,
Treasurer or Secretary) should send an email to Don Martin
on or before March ?, 2009. All nomination receipts will be acknowledged via return email.
Voting information will be given shortly.
Only registered Sarnia Ultimate members (read: everyone who paid
league fees in 2008) will be entitled to vote.
