All League Games will be played according to the following
rules:
Note - the rules are a little sparse for some things. This
is intended to be a relaxed league just to make the summer last
a little longer. If it's not clear fromt he rules how to resolve
a situation, relax, figure it out, and make it work!
-
Unless otherwise noted below, the league will follow
the 10th Edition of the UPA Rules
of Ultimate.
-
The league is a coed league. Use your women!
-
All games are played to 13 points with a 5 minute halftime
after one team reaches 7 points.
-
Each team is entitled to one 70 second time out per half.
-
Games must start by 6:00 PM. The soft time cap
will begin at 7:00 (add two points to the higher score)
and the hard time cap will be at 7:30 (finish the point
and call it quits).
-
All games must end with a winner declared. If darkness
becomes a factor then team captains must agree to how
the game will be ended. If a decision cannot be reached
before darkness then each captain will flip a disc as
in rule 4 .
-
Two mutually agreeing captains may decide on specific
rules or exceptions for a game. This includes rescheduling
a league game. The league
director should be informed at least 24 hours in advance
that a game will be rescheduled.
- Weather Policy - Games will be played under all weather
conditions unless lightning is seen nearby. We have no formal
way of canceling games, so it is up to the captains to do
so. A winner shall be declared under the following conditions,
otherwise games should be rescheduled by the captains:
a) one team is ahead by 5 points
b) one team is ahead by 2 points or more in the second half
